'She and Chesh have such a close bond and he means a lot to her, she got him when she was spending a lot of time in and out of hospital and not very well and they became very attached to each other, ' her mother Nicole Ralston told Daily Mail Australia. Nine-year-old Ashlynn (pictured with her cat) knew straight away the search was over She contacted the tip, where she was told a cat was seen jumping out of the bin as it was being emptied and was last seen running towards the fence. The family conducted an extensive search of the area and posted several public appeals on social media but to no avail. That was until last Wednesday when Ms Ralston was alerted to a Facebook post from a woman shared photos of a stray cat hiding under her household deck who looked like Chesh. 'I'm pretty sure he's been abandoned. He desperately wants love, comfort, food,' the woman posted. 'I think it's a boy that's been fixed. He has definitely been someone's pet, very well behaved and cuddly.' The Facebook post that ended the desperate search for the little's girl beloved moggy Ms Ralson and Ashlynn visited the house less than four kilometres away in Milson and instantly knew the search was over. 'It means a lot to Ashlynn to have her cat home,' Ms Ralston told Daily Mail Australia. 'She was so happy and smiling from ear to ear.' 'We always thought he would come home at some point we never gave up hope.' Ms Ralston spread the great news on social media that Chesh had been found. Chesh went missing after he was accidentally taken out with garbage to the local tip 'After 1.5years, Ashlynn's Baby is home,' she posted. One person commented: 'How cool is this! So happy for you guys, not often a fur baby comes home after being lost.' Chesh is now settling back at home and is getting acquainted with Riggs the kitten, a new addition to the family.
